Whole Foods for Your Pet: Ollie

Before Tim and I decided to add a new little wolf to our pack, we did extensive research into all things pup!

We reviewed everything from the best breeds for our lifestyle, to the most reputable vets in our hood, ways to train and even the most indestructible toys. It really felt as if we read every article the internet had to offer!

Arguably, one of the most important topics we researched was diet! As I mentioned in this post, there is a plethora of information out there when it comes to this topic- it’s literally exhausting. After reading everything we could and meeting with our vet, we ultimately decided that feeding Summit, real, whole, human-grade foods, would be best.

Through a past connection, we sampled Ollie and all 3 of us were hooked.

Ollie not only offers a range of recipes to meet your pups needs including Beef, Chicken, Turkey and Lamb, but they also offer customizable plans. Since we do still give Summit a handful of kibble (we recently switched him to Instinct brand after Nutro was highlighted in this study), we decided to go with the ‘Some Ollie’ offering, meeting 50% of Summit’s daily caloric needs. On this plan, his bowl is comprised of 1/2 Ollie, a handful of kibble and because I’m that crazy dog mom, fresh fruits or veggies.

Ollie also offers plans that will accommodate for 25% or 100% of your dog’s daily caloric intake, depending on needs and budget. At less than $30 per week, we’ve found Ollie to be more cost effective than competing brands, and their ‘Canine Care Team’ to be top notch.

We get our Ollie delivery once every 8 weeks and it’s always fully frozen with all packaging in tact. We store ours in the freezer and only thaw what we need for a couple of days at a time (Ollie will stay in your refrigerator for up to 4 days/5 days unopened and up to 6 months in the freezer- if it lasts that long!).

If you’re interested in testing Ollie for your pet click here to get a Free box! Summit personally loves their Beef and Turkey options, but you really can’t go wrong with any of their offerings.

Need another reason to test it out? Ollie partners with Shelters across the country to provide meals to dogs in need. Supporting their company supports a great cause, and that’s something we can all feel good about!
