Avocados are one of my favorite fruits (yes, they are a fruit)! I love spreading them on toast, adding them to sandwiches, or eating them straight with a spoon. With football season in full-swing, I decided to whip up my own guacamole recipe to share with my fellow football fans. It’s a delicious snack without the guilt that usually comes along with mindless Sunday afternoon snacking. Full of flavor and low cal, you have got to try this recipe!
In a large bowl place the scooped avocado pulp and juice of the lime. Using a potato masher [or a fork], mash the avocado until smooth [I like to leave some chunks for a more hearty guac]. Then, fold in the onions, jalapeño, tomatoes, cilantro, and garlic. Lastly, sprinkle in the cayenne pepper and salt.
Serve with chips, carrots, broccoli, or cucumber slices. Enjoy and go Bears!
